Job Description:
ExpertCare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to assist a 22-year-old adult with autism in Farmington Hills. The role involves providing support with daily tasks, encouraging independence, and creating a structured and positive environment for personal growth. As a caregiver, you will assist with life skills, communication, and other needs to help the individual live their best life.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, house chores and community inclusion
• Offer support with communication and social skills development
• Help create a structured routine and promote independence
• Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to build confidence and skills
• Monitor emotional and behavioral well-being, providing necessary support as needed
• Assist with any other tasks or needs as required

Requirements:

• Experience with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus, but not required
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide a safe, respectful environment
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
