Job Description:
ExpertCare is hiring! We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated caregiver to support an 11-year-old male with a mild intellectual disability and traumatic brain injury in Troy, MI. The caregiver will assist with personal care, daily activities, and provide emotional support, ensuring the child is safe, comfortable, and engaged. This is an evening shift position designed to provide care and supervision during this time.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene support
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, homework, and recreational activities
• Support the child with building skills for independence and daily living
• Provide emotional support and a calm, structured environment
• Ensure the child’s safety and well-being throughout the evening hours
• Follow the care plan and instructions provided by the family

Requirements:

• Experience with children who have intellectual disabilities or brain injuries is preferred, but not required
• Comfortable providing personal care, including assistance with bathing and hygiene
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor
• Ability to follow specific care plans and provide consistent support
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Must be available for evening shifts
• Ability to work independently and handle situations with calmness and empathy
