Job Description:
ExpertCare is hiring! We are looking for a compassionate and reliable caregiver to provide support for an 11-year-old girl with a mood disorder and ADHD in Pontiac. The caregiver will assist with managing daily activities, provide emotional support, and help the child build coping skills in a structured environment during evening shifts. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, understanding, and has experience working with children with special needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide emotional support and help manage mood fluctuations
• Assist with daily routines, including meal preparation, homework, and personal care
• Support the child in developing coping strategies for managing ADHD and mood disorder
• Engage in activities that promote focus, communication, and social skills
• Provide a safe, structured, and positive environment during evening hours
• Offer encouragement and reinforcement to build self-esteem and confidence
• Follow specific care plans and instructions provided by the family

Requirements:

• Experience with children who have mood disorders and ADHD is preferred but not required
• Patience, understanding, and empathy for children with special needs
• Comfortable assisting with personal care, if needed
• Ability to create a structured routine and provide consistency
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Must be available for evening shifts
• Ability to maintain a calm and supportive environment during challenging situations
